Florecent bulb identification Help Please.

Well it was pretty stupid but I brok one of the bulbs in this lightcleaning it to hang up in the new shop.

there are no readable markings on it, and the ballast has very few readable markings.

anyone know how to identify it or where to order from?

Since you didn't give dimemsions, I believe that's a-
F35/CW/U/6/WM/UPC 35 watt U6 bulb

looks like a 60watt T12 U shaped bulb with those ends on it

If you measure the thickness of the lamp inches, it will tell you what size it is.
Every 1/8" = 1 so a 1-1/2" thic lamp is a T-12, a 1" = T-8, a 5/8" = T-5.

that is the correct end, how did you determin the watt?

the c to c on the bulb is about 6" the over all lenght is about 28.5 amybe 5 foot if it were a strait bulb

Your best info will come from the ballast. If it doesn't have the wattage on it then Google the part number. You should be able to find all the specs that way.

the tag is worn on the balast so I cannnot make it out., also the one balast fires all 4 bulbs. there is a small strait bulb and the three arched.
the bulbs are not readable either. all I can make out on one bulb is volt arc.
is there a way to test one of the bulbs?
or test the balast?

You may have a little bit of trouble finding that style. I've looked through a couple places that sell commercial and most of the "U" shaped bulbs are dual pin. Here is one site http://www.mcmaster.com/#light-bulbs/=fsxshk

That lamp has a recessed double contact base, which means it is a HO, High Output lamp, that one is going to be a tough one..... (Uncommon type). $$$

Recessed double contact bases are used on HO 800ma, & VHO 1500ma lamps, I doubt the sign lamps are VHO.


Edit: Sign ballasts are rated in the number of lamps & the number of feet of the lamps, for example, 2,3 or 4 lamps and minimum 6 feet & maximum 20 feet of lamp length for a Advance brand model # ASB-0620-24-BL-TP ballast.
