Florescent lites & FM Radio

Hello guys & gals. Visited this site a few times, but my first time to post.

Couple years ago I installed 4 new 8 ft florescent lites in my tool room. I used HO fixtures so they would lite better in cold weather. Love the light, but it messes up my FM radio reception when they're on. My 4 footers in the actual 30X30 shop area does not seem to effect my radio and there are 12 of those lites. I suppose I need some sort of filter or something so those 8 footers don't cause interference?? I'm not and electrician or hi tech but can do the basics myself.

Hi Jerry: This topic has been discussed several times. Do a search and you will finds lots of info. Seems to be certain ballasts emit far more RF interference than others. It's a common problem with electronic ballasts.
