So I got two LED tubes super cheap and my wife has an extra pantry in the basement with a crappy wavy florescent that makes ya feel sick when it's on. Anyway, I read the notes on hookup and researched online for a while. The setup is a ballast with two reds and two blues, on the other side two yellows, and coming in for power the black, white, and ground. So from my understanding of what I've read from the illustration provided with the tubes I do blue red, blue red, one goes to white, one to black, and eliminate the yellows all together along with the ballast. Am I misunderstanding this, I feel like it's straight forward but the directions are all different online and I'd like to confirm.

I fully understand what you're working with on the fixture end. I want a picture of the wiring diagram label that's on the LED tube.

apparently your doing a "ballast bypass" and eliminating the ballast all together. If so, make sure your tombstones are also the correct configuration.
sounds like you are on the right track, but double check the tube installation on how they should be wired. Look for the words "shunted" or "non-shunted".

Thanks cybr, I hooked it up that way and it's on and I haven't burned my house down, haha.

Outstanding! Looks as exactly what I did with our kitchen flor fixture. Ballast went out, replaced four flor lights with two LED BB lights: mo betta light!

So question, they have a two second delay, any ideas?

A tiny delay is normal. The driver needs a moment to power up. But 2 seconds is longer than typical. You'll have to get used to it.

We have 4 bulb fluorescent lights in our basement and they're killing radio reception, not mention the bulbs seem to have less life as I replace them.

Can I concert these lights the same as the OP did?

Any 4ft fluorescent fixture with replaceable lampholders can be updated to LED ballast bypass retrofits. This will save you electricity, greatly improve lamp life (compared to budget brand fluorescent bulbs) and often provide more light.

Do not expect your radio reception to improve. Relocate radio away from the light fixtures if the issue is radiated emission interference. Relocate radio to another circuit if the issue is conducted emission interference.
