Do retailers actually program their registers for a sale like this? It would seem like a lot of back end work for retailers to properly categorize their items and then set up the dollar limits.

We don't do sales tax holidays here in Minnesota. We pay sales tax year round.

Another reason to move to Florida………. I won’t mention the "other" reasons. :)
I spent sometime living in Ct to make a retirement, it was the new TAXachussets when I was leaving in 2015. I knew a lot of folks that worked in Jersey, NY, Mass and RI for the same employer as I.

I would assume you could make a list quite easily to justify a move anywhere in the south.

We have a tax free long weekend in early august in SC (kids go to school early here), the tax free only applies to School supplies, clothes, computers and dorm room accessories, etc. Y'all aint gonna get Milwaukee Tools @ HD tax free.

Yes, they do. This the first year of these different tax holidays. Usually it's back to school or hurricane supplies.

We probably could discuss the million or so reasons not to move there also. However, this is a tool website and has nothing to do with the political references you are making. Please keep it tool related.
Excuse me sir…….. Go back and read post #2, I never made a reference to politics.

BTW! Since this is a "tool website" maybe you should consider changing your "offensive" avatar pic. ;)
