Does anyone have any recomendations for a Flourescent Magnifier Lamp. The kind I am talking about usually clamps to the work bench with a "C" clamp arrangement and has maybe 30" to 45" inches of range. Magnifier lens is mabe 2 to 5X. I know there are some that range from $35.00 to several hundred dollars. Any recomendations for something of reasonable quality in the $100.00 range?

Hmm, hard to make a good suggestion, as most of them I have bought were from yard sales for about five bucks. One that was always superior (their lights also) was made by Vemco (Known as a drafting machine company primarily)

The best ones were designed to mount on the top end of the vertical bar of a drafting machine, and IIR these were made with both lights only, and with a ring light and magnifier.

I have the light with the combined incandescent and ring florescent, clamped to a table. (Works both ways) "Vemcolite" is its marketing name.

Wow, they still sell the light: model VL-4C

Couldn't find the magnifier with a quick search :dunno:
