We have an unfinished basement in our home, still years away from finishing it, and with 4 kids aged 1, 3, 5, 7, nothing beats the open play space and durability of wood and concrete. We have LED black light strips and UV fluorescent tubes we swap into the lights down there for an annual Halloween party.

I've wanted to coat the floor for some time now to keep dust down, make it easier to clean, etc. The though crossed my mind to look for UV reactive chips, since we leave the LED strips up all the time. The kids love playing under the black lights as do all their little friends.

Has anyone seen or come across a source for something like that?

This is a picture of the basement in its current state for our party tomorrow, in the main area. Haven’t put the 4’ UV tubes in the fixtures yet. We hung roofing felt on the studs and just slung blacklight paint at everything. Would love to have a floor coating with the chips so that it’s easier to keep up and more durable. The paint splattered in the floor now is water based and so it won’t last. I don’t know maybe we can find something to just coat over paint.

I bet the glow flake would look cool. But go on Torginal's site. Find 2 or 3 colors you like and pm me your name and address and we will send samples
