Flush cutting pliers

Hello All,

Looking for a good flush cutting diagonal cutter. Was going to with something from Channellock, due to COO, but not really finding anything good on their site.

Anyway, next on the list is Knipex 72 01 160. Amazon has it on prime for $30. Does anyone know of a plier that is flush cut, similar handle size/style and made in USA?

kieba makes great ones the model with the bullet metal in them. Engineer makes good ones too I believe. Kline ,nws, gedore,snap on, almost every manufacture of pliers has something like that.

The Keibas are very nice. I've had mine for a couple years with no issues...

There's a nice pair branded Crescent that comes with a pair of precision pliers. They can sometimes be found at the back of the rack at Home Depot, behind the new Chinese ones. Check the section with the soldering supplies, and the pliers section, they're stocked in both areas. I'm fairly certain they're made by Xcelite, they could probably found under that brand also.

Thanks All for the great suggestions! The primary usage will be to cut cable ties or other soft materials that need to be cut flush. Leaning towards the Knipex 72 01 160, can bundle that on Zoro to get free shipping!

Currently I have Xuron 170-II Micro-Shear Flush Cutter, but honestly, feel like they are going to break at any moment. They don't feel good in the hand. The Knipex looks solid, and the tool is shorter, than the Channellock 758, which I like. Made in Germany which is ok, still high quality.

I got the Snapon dykes as well and the curved jaw set, straight as well and they are the BEST.

Another thing on the Snapon the jaws are machined/matched set.

What part number do you have? Seen some pics of an older Snapon tool, but can only find EPC160 on the site. Not impressed for some reason... $64.50!
COO is Spain. But that is me judging by the cover.

I've used a couple different snap on flush cutters and have been less than impressed. They require significantly more force to cut and if you squeeze too hard the jaws will overlap. The Swanstrom pair I got used off ebay for $7 are a substantial step up.

The BEST flush cutting/sharpest cutter is the Snap On E710BCG .. Made in the USA. The problem is that Snap On discontinued it ... :(

I have the Knipex and they work perfect for cable ties, etc; they cut flush. I also have smaller NWS ones which are also great. No need for Snap On IMO to cut plastic cable ties unless you want to.
