FMC 4100 SC Balancer chasing weight

Hey all,

I’ve had this balancer for some time without any problems until just recently. I got a cone stuck on the shaft and had to do some workin’ to get it off. Well, since that happened it is ‘chasing weights’. It calibrates normally, but when I try to balance anything, the zero spot is always a few inches forward of the actual balanced spot. I remember seeing something about being able to calibrate the actual slug hole to zero or 12 o’clock.

Anybody still around that can help me with this?

Thanks,

Ed

I never had the manual, but I have this. Not sure if you can see what you need... If not , maybe I can span it and send it to you.

Thanks Fix_It, but these are the standard calibration instructions. I need someone who knows the “secret” Function code.../ techniques to calibrate the actual shaft orientation.

Well, I finally sent SnapOn an email about my issue and was told to call back while standing in front of it. So 8 minutes before they closed, I called and was connected to a tech guy, Larry, who walked me through how to fix it in just a few minutes. Hallelujah!!! It’s back working like a champ!

Thanks for trying to help Mr FixIt, but this was a little outside of the standard repair. :D
