Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster here. I recently picked up an antique fmc alignment machine for a song and I'd love to get it up and running. I can do alignments with strings and tapes but it's worth a shot to get this old girl going! Problem is, it's so old there's no information online, and all I have is the parts reference manual wich is okay but I'm looking for a user manual and some simple parts. Most of what I need I can fabricate in the machine shop so I'm not too intimidated but any advice is more than welcomed. For what I payed for it I got my money's worth for just the 16 ton steel cabinet it's housed in.

Thank you in advance, I'm after a balancer too but that's another thread lol

I did do that too.... I went as far as to call john beam to ask for advice! I didn't find anything about snap on, that's interesting, Thank you! My machine is so old it doesn't even have a CRT, only analog meters across the front of the case and a spartan appearance. I think once i start doing more research I'm going to find a very interesting history here.... so far I've learned fmc is a pretty big and diverse corporation.

The guy who sold it to me said it was from the 80s but I'm starting to think its older. I'll look at the circuit board, you can usually tell from the stuff that was used to make it "tick" or, there might be a date printed on the circuit board. Once I figure out about how old it is, I'll at least know where to look for information. I even looked for an i.s.b.n. number in the manual I have but the front cover is rotted off
