I've been looking around on here for a few weeks and I joined up last week. I gotta say, this is becoming one of my favorite forums to look at.

future plans:
I would like to add another work bench somewhere and then cover it in steel to make it my welding table, probably across from the big bench. I'd like to paint the ones I have now but im not in too much of a rush to do it. Lastly reorganize and rearrange a few things to try and get some more usable space.
Here are a few pics.

Welcome to the GJ from VA.
Don't get married - as soon as your wife would have to use the washer and dryer, she'd be looking at space to have a clothes folding table, a laundry sink, etc., and your stuff would have to get out of the way... :)
That's a nice looking shop area!

Welcome from down the hill. Some cupboards on those bare walls might be a good start to organization.

thank you all.
I might be liking a 'fold down' bench if I were in that shop. Picture a tail gate mounted to your wall....
There when you need it, up and out of the way when you don't. Easy. Sturdy. Build foldup legs if you're inclined. Attach chains to studs if you want it easy.
not a bad idea. ill have to think about that one a little more.

on the other side of the garage in front of the cars, i have 4 tall shelving units that line the wall which is where most the storage is. the only problem with cupboards is space. the only place to put one would be above the washer and dryer (which i might do). above the big work bench is the track for the single garage door. i have thought about some type of shelving up there but just haven't done it yet.
Greetings from Whittier. I dig your Portaband stand.....
thanks. i put closer and better pic of it in the "what did you do in your garage today'' thread.
