I actually need one for a pressure washer and one for garden hose.

What soap/foam do you use for undercarriage?

I don't foam the undercarriage (do you have your car up on a lift???). For wheel wells and engine bay I use P21S Total Auto Wash

Consider this - the amount of pressure the machine produces has an effect on how well the cannon will work.. your not gonna get that shaving cream you see in vids with a cheaper pressure washer. also - don't think that you're gonna foam down your car and hose it off, without actually hitting it with a sponge or mitt... I have a cheaper model off Amazon - it works pretty good, but really I just came to the conclusion it's quicker and easier without the pressure washer and cannon.

Get a wash mitt with an extendable handle, good soap like Meguiars Ultimate soap, and buy a cheap gallon sized pump sprayer for wheel cleaner. Buy concentrate wheel cleaner online by the gallon. An expanding hose and a halfway decent (but cheap) nozzle, with some soft brushes for the wheels is a better use of your money in my opinion. Don't spend $80 on a foam cannon.. just don't...

This is the one I bought after a lot of considering.

I wanted to get a foam cannon after I saw the shaving cream suds it can produce, but then I realized that I don't want to drag my pressure washer out every time I want to give the car a quick wash.

I wound up getting this one that attaches to the end of my garden hose. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Y190WE/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It works great.

I foam the car, give the car a once over with a brush, and rinse it off. Only takes me a handful of minutes from start to finish.

Also...if you are using electric pressure washer you probably should change the orifice to be smaller because the orifice for water flow that comes with the unit was for gas with more pressure and gpm. Switching to a 1.1mm orifice will massively improve the foam AND lead to less current draw to the machine (run cooler and not blow breakers). You can get a 1.1mm orifice on aliexpress for $5 shipped (with paypal):

I don't have one, a quick rinse here IS with a pressure washer, I havnt hose washed a car in decades. If I wanted one really clean it would get well pressure washer to remove dirt and grit then brush washed.
But that's pretty rare for me, I usually simply hot wash.

I bought the Chemical Guys Version and soap from Amazon. Here is an older thread where we talked about it. I think they work great - really cuts down on the time

Chemical guys currently has a 25% off sale until tonight. It is very uncommon for them to have a broad sale like that, often times only specific items are on sale.

Yes. It reached the second floor. I did use a brush on an extension to scrub off some sap. I needed a ladder in some areas with the brush not the foam cannon. The nozzle is easily adjustable from narrow to wide stream. My pressure washer is a gas 3,000 psi unit. The roof I am not sure about. It depends on the pitch and height of your roof.

I have a small electric, and I think it's a 3,800 psi gas pressure washer.. doin the siding on my house, it's still a lot easier to use a brush on an extending handle to scrub before rinsing off all the soap.. I just find it's quicker than having to get EVERY inch with the pressure washer.. even washing cars trucks, the pressure washer is not gonna get everything off, neither is coating it with soap.. you'll still have to physically TOUCH the car with something.

Ya, sorry - I knew the gun was under $20, but I thought it was from Chemical Guys because that is where I got the soap. When I looked it up to see the price I paid, I saw it was a different brand

Just throwing it out there - my $20 foam cannon on my little Ryobi electric washer does the exact same thing as this...

For your electric, did you change the orifice on the foam gun or just used the stock one? How does it compare to your gas?

I ask because I'm just waiting for the weather to break. I have a gas pressure washer that I'm giving to my in-laws because I don't use it enough to store in my little garage....I have a new, tiny Ryobi to replace it. Over Christmas I also acquired a foam cannon and a gallon of chemical guys maxi-suds. I bought the smaller orifice but will try the foam blaster both ways as soon as spring hits.
