Foam Board Insulation - Install DONE!

Back in 2018, I got on here and asked for recommendations for insulating a shop roof. It took me years of thinking and procrastinating and doubting, but I finally went with the foam board, and I've never been happier with a decision. What a significant difference it is made. I'm going to save a lot of money on firewood, this winter, because that stove will run me out of there now. For some reason, my shop is 20° warmer inside than the outside temperature even though it's not heated through the night. My wife and I now spend most of our evenings out there instead of the house. Anyways, I love this forum, and I appreciate getting everyone's advice over the years. I made a YouTube video on the foam board install. Hope this helps someone else out!

It's 20° warmer because your foam board is helping to hold the heat in. In doing so, the concrete is absorbing more heat and creating a huge heat sink.

Why did you do board vs closed cell spray foam?

I'd guess foam board was cheaper and because he could do it himself.
