I am getting ready to put my 2" foam board on the floor of my pole barn. I bought two 10 ft trench drains to install just inside of my 2 overhead doors. I talked to the manufacturer and they do not recommend any foam under their drains. Should I just leave an opening in the foam right under the drains? Another question about my poly vapor barrier. Would it be any benefit to leave the edges long and go above the concrete? I could trim it even with the floor after the pour. any thoughts? thanks.

You didn't note if you were putting in radiant floor heat or not.
If you are putting radiant heat in the floor I'd recommend barrier and foam board along the sides.
I cut my board at a 45 degree angle and put it flush with the finish floor grade.

Radiant heating or not, foam goes under all and especially at the perimeter where most heat is lost. XPX is an effective vapor barrier but poly is still specified in some locals.
