Hi Barrentine,

I am not familiar with this but I know a few people who used spray foam insulation and are very happy with it.You can get spray foam insulation kits from fomo foam.
Check out their website for more information.
Hope it helps

It priced out too high for me. plus as another G/J person pointed it is also flammable, so you need to cover it with something to make it safer to be around. Commericial kits/spray units are available but just as expensive as having a pro do the job.

Don't forget to get all your lines in place before you spray, too.

Let us see what you're doing. We dig that stuff! You can find tons of ideas here.

And welcome aboard, Barrentine!

robertlynk,

It looks like the stuff you used has the same R Value as regular fiberglass but with a much better look when it's done. Nice. Are you happy with it? Any imporvements?

The GC I work for does lots of metal buildings and does lots of spray foam with excellent results. We have spray foam insulation on the walls and ceilings in our corporate office. They heat 24,000sf of space for just over $100/month. The building is LEED Gold certified for anyone that is into that sort of thing.

the insulation is fiberglass with a vapor barrier R30 in roof R25 in walls it stays fairly cool until about 95 even without the doors up yet.

I have the spray on insulation and didn't think it was all that expensive compared to the labor costs of installing batts. There always holes in the roof where the installer missed the purlens. Spray foam seals those holes whereas roll insulation doesn't and these can be a source of mold.
