Looking/asking if anyone has a source for closed cell Xps foam Insulation for installing radiant floor heating

Building a 50x140ft shop and will be doing radiant floor heating. Was thinking if I could source the underlayment foam could be beneficial.

Thanks in advance. Will be zoning it for three zones. Ceilings height 15 ft

Can't remember the name but mine came in a roll and had a vapor barrier attached with extra barrier/ adhesive to put 2 rolls together, got it the same plumbing store I got the pex.

Pretty sure this is it

Standard dow blue board or pink owens corning at the lumber yard is XPS. I personally used 3" dow blue board that was removed from commercial flat roof when they redecked it. It looked nearly new and was less that 1.5 inch dow xps

I dont know whom you would talk to in the northeast as I am in Indiana but I am sure there is someone who does the same out there

You might try to find a surplus place, like repurposedmaterials.com if there’s something local to you.

I've heard a lot of people finding sources of reclaimed or used foam, try marketplace or Craigslist. I bought my xps foam new, tried 3 building suppliers with our business account to buy by the pallet and home depot was still cheaper by almost 2$ a sheet. That surprised me but that's what it was

I cannot speak from any floor or slab experience here but I know eps tends to have a lower overall r value and will allow more water (liquid or vapor) to pass through being that the cells are closed but not the space between them

Thanks yeah looks like HomeDepot is the cheapest. I found a NY wholesale that has factory seconds but a little worried it is not the right PSI

Likely will get from HomeDepot so I know that it is right. Not the time to cut corners.

Thanks

Did you do radiant floor heat?

Find a concrete supplies wholesaler. There is probably one within 60 miles of you.

For example, Vimco is a major supplier for the Philly region
