I picked up some sheets of foil faced insulation and was wondering if you can stack them against each other to make it thicker. both sides of the sheets have foil on them. I'm looking to put them on the walls of my pole barn. thanks

There is nothing wrong with stacking rigid insulation. Foil is good as long as you don't put it under a slab or foundation since polyisocyanurate will absorb moisture.

Great for radiant block if an air-gap is provide between the foil and the siding. I used in my own recent pole-barn remodel.

I have used foil faced eps foam insulation under a slab. It was only one inch thick so i had to stack it. Not all foil faced foam is polyiso.
