Fold-away Table & Countertops Done!

Well I finally finished making a fold-away table that is very sturdy and finished my counter tops.

The Table is a sheet of 3/4" plywood using 3 heavy duty gate hinges attached to the wall studs. The supporting legs automatically fall into place while lowering the table. Its topped off with Black 1/8" Puckboard and aluminum edging.

The counters we're also made with 3/4" plywood and finished with the 1/8" puckboard and aluminum edging. I am pretty happy with results and that puckboard sure makes everything easy to clean. Here's some pics of the table and a vid of the counters.

Its always white... I custom ordered the black. Here is the definition on Google. (Polyethylene (Puckboard) Puckboard, sometimes called arena board or hockey board, is a versatile, adaptive plastic material. Puckboard is tough, resilient, and will take a beating without cracking or breaking. It's white lining on hockey rink boards.

What thickness did you get? I work with this **** all the time, from patches to a full reskin of a rink. It's very easy to work with, extremely messy with a router.

Just 1/8" and It cuts nice with a circular saw.

Very nice! Is there anything to lock the legs in place in case they accidentally get kicked? I've had that happen with regular folding tables and everything comes crashing down.

I put black straps to stop it from kicking out but nothing from kicking in. However this is a heavy table so it would take a broken ankle to collapse it that way. Lol
