Have a need for a folding workbench in the garage. Limited space with a raised concrete slab floor area that is 6 inch tall x 48 inch deep x 18 foot wide. Wanted a dedicated reloading bench set up, but needed work surface to fold down from time to time allowing access to air-compressor area, over-head storage cabinets, attic stairs, etc.
Wish I had the time and extra shop tools to build something from scratch, but have other pressing project and work commitments. I've been looking on and off for while, but recently found a product called Bench Solutions that looked interesting. The system was priced right and I figured why not. Did a quick search on a few forums, but did not find any postings so figured I would give it a try.
Bottom line, my biggest concern was how stable the the system would be for primary usage as a re-loading work station. After finishing the install, its rock solid with no play and locks up tight. The only way the top will come down is by deliberately pulling both handles toward you which release the safety and then allows the work surface to hing down out of the way. Very nicely designed product.
For those interested here are a couple starter pictures. Working on setting up the reloading equipment this evening and will post a few more pictures.
