Here's mine. 6' long, space between legs for stool, Masonite sacrificial top, 4x4 legs, and angle iron edge.

Is the table on hinges on the 2x4 that is anchored to the wall?

I've got a question about folding tables:

Why doesn't anyone make them fold UP? So the "guts" - the legs and folding mechanisms can be hidden from view instead of showing? I'd understand if doing it this way meant you couldn't store things in front of it, but you can't anyway, right?

Yup, it needs floor space to sweep up and deploy. By folding down, it hovers over anything that may be below.

On my particular project here, a fold down bench (when it folds up for stow away) will complete a wall box. It keeps the entire box is off the floor, and tools and supplies are all tucked away nicely and out of sight for a clean look in the room. If I build it right, I can frame out the legs for a decorative look.
