Someone is selling a Foley 375 Master Sharpener for $200 near me. I tried doing some research online but there is very little info on it. It looks to be in good condition. Is this a good buy?

Looks similar to the attached photo.

I would jump on that in a second. Just make sure that it comes with manuals. I have bought several of these on CL for less than $ 100.00 that were incomplete. They sell for over $ 1500.00 complete.

If memory serves me correctly, these were a product of the Belsaw Company, the ones who made my 12" thickness planer which I bought new around 1975. They used to have a pretty good service dept. and may be able to furnish operators manuals. Perhaps try searching online for more info.

Thanks for the reply. I tried googling it and there isn't much out there on this.

Thanks. Do they still sell these? I couldn't find anything about it in the web.

I've got one I use for wire wheeling. Great stand as well as motor. Not sure how useful it would be for its real purpose of saw sharpening. Mine came with a nice vintage lamp too. Vinco I think it is.

Paid a whole $35 for mine. (Third day of an estate sale).

I'll get some pics.
