HI,

I took a look on the forum and could not find anything pertaining to FOMOCO or ford motor company branded tools by OTC. Today I came across a huge OTC tool set but this was not the best part. I found 20 to 30 tools branded fomoco or ford motor company, several pullers and other misc. tools. I was wondering if anyone could share a good resource to learn more about the ford motor company gear pullers and tools made by OTC. I hope to provide part numbers tomorrow I just had to call it a night for tonight.

Thanks

If any of them happen to be ones shared with Mazda, I can probably help out with identifying their original intended model and application. I'll try to remember to check in tomorrow and see if you have posted any part numbers, then try to cross them over to my SSTs, SST lists, catalogs, etc.

They sound old. Much better results with pictures. Even cell phone pictures. Many older mechanics may recognize an old tool but not recall the number of that tool.

I did find some information on applications that the tools would be used for on a different website. The website was http://restorecarsclassifieds.com/. This just came up in a google search where some of the tools were listed in classic Ford repair manuals.

I wasn't able to find much else on these tools other on Ebay or like sites at all. I saw some of the tools were also branded as OTC and still sold today.

It would be cool to find a copy of an 50s or 60s Ford tooling catalog if one even existed.

Try emailing [email protected]. Or see if there is a rotunda contact here. https://rotunda.service-solutions.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx

Bosch Special Service Tools bought out SPX/Kent-Moore, Rotunda, OTC, etc. I worked for them a couple years ago. It's a big corporation now, so it's hit or miss whether you can get helfpul info. Ford may also own the drawings and info on the tools, so Bosch may be no help.

When I worked there, I tried looking through BOM's for old GM transmission special service tools and I couldn't find a lot of what I was looking for.

Looks like a bunch of seal drivers. The big puller is for pitman arms. I own one.

Thanks, I know what the tools are. I just wanted to learn more about their history and even value. All the Ford tools I have bought in the past were much older. It seems like most of these tools are from the 50s - 70s? from the numbers that I could find online. Some of the tools are still used today on newer vehicles just branded OTC.
