i wonder how long parker made that anvil horned vise, it is a very unique vise even without all the customizing done to it, there is a parker 234 swivel base on ebay its dated 1925 on it, but its all welded up on the jaw

Anything looks better with 22"Chromes that say FOOOOOSE them

But for real why use that vise when you are Chip Foose and can have whatever vise you desire to beat on?

It's a beautiful piece. Minus the FOOSE logo

I was not aware Chip Foose's father was a famous custom car designer, too. Sounds like he was quite a guy.

All the vises in the shops I worked in were beat to hell by 1952 and just left in the rain between abuses since.

One was missing a jaw plate and nobody cared. Its just a very useful hunk of steel.

They took another old useful chunk of steel and made it hot rod garage stylish for a hot rod garage. Nothing wrong in that.

Not all things need to be fresh out of a "Pimp my (item)" show.

My own vise is a tiny one lb/2.5" Chinese thing I have been unable to break in more thsn a decade. It is not pretty anymore but the many projects it has helped with are beyond counting. That makes it far more than some ****** Chinese hunk of steel. Its a family member by now.

Cool looking vise. I like that they did that stuff together but the recipe is getting stale. I like the work coming out of a tiny shop in Washington state called Divers Customs alot.

They have done some crazy one offs such as a Rambler with Ferrari Drivetrain or a Duramax in a rare Eldorado Brougham
