Looks to be of 1980's origin-not sure?? As with most collectible tools-this one has the "Gold" plating on the lettering and the shaft as well. Marked as SDD8 which is a 3/8" flat tip. Only flaw noted is a small hole on rear side of handle-maybe PO drilled for some reason?? Otherwise pristine condition.
