i got this set as part of an Astro BOGO a while back.

they have been knocked around in my box for a while without any paint loss. i think it is a great idea and i was really glad astro threw the set in as part of the BOGO.

Another approach is to be a road cyclist watching the side of the road. The number of 10mm sockets in my drawer is increasing, not decreasing...

Lol fortunately for me I haven’t lost a 10mm socket in three years lol. Or any socket or tool I’m very careful of keeping up with my stuff. The last 10mm I lost was my dads fault I handed it to him while I was putting a starter in a Honda and he dropped it and never could find it and then said I never handed it too him. Still bothers me to this day because that was part of a black chrome set that Craftsman didn’t sell individually so no exact replacement for it.

Thats funny. The other day I was going through my crate of loose sockets from estate sales, random tool boxes and shop acquisitions to put a set together (4mm-32mm) for a friend and found numerous 10mm, several Snap-On's, Mac's and Proto. The most duplicates of any size.

I think my crate of sockets is like an accumulation of those one missing socks from previous owners.

Saw something similar at O'Reillys, except without the glow-paint. Had a package of like ten 10mm sockets, all different; plain, deep, swivel, 6-point, 12-point, etc.

Fortunately, I don't own anything that takes 10mm. :D

Doc.

I have many ratchets and the sockets stay on them till the job is done. With 10mm, you can semi-permanently attach the socket to ratchets.

Hilarious, was it a gag xmas promo or something? Better to get bluetooth tracking on 10mm. My lost 10mm sockets are usually still on the last extension used.

There's a few other methods I've seen used half as a joke and half as a means to keep stuff from disappearing. Door alarm stuck to the 10mm deep well socket with the other piece mounted in a box so the alarm goes off till it's put back. Then impact sockets with a string through the hole and one of those wire key holders like a tape measure people used to use for keys on their belt attached with a lanyard and 5ft or so of slack. Basically fish for the socket if it disappears. Seems like there's a few different methods going around for the 10mms.

We're working on full size range sets of these sockets with UV glowing markings, actually more rings/markings than that so they stand out even more. They're looking pretty cool.
Don't quote me on that though

Oh yeah that would be perfect, I've had the 10mm set for a long time and I was wondering why they didn't have a full set. In fact I remember a post in which he was asked but I don't remember getting an answer.

I may have to check out this Astro set, I like it.

The only tool I have ever lost is a Craftsman 3/8 drive 10mm socket and I am still upset over losing it!

I have a drawer with half a dozen new spare 10mm sockets just waiting to be used as my go-to flees in the other direction. Stanley, Craftsman, Snap-On... Then there's the small box of 10mm sockets I've found on the side of the road. There is a close relationship between missing 10mm sockets and missing socks...
