first of all, please excuse my english, as i'm french speaking.

Here's a cool gadget made to ease the process of coupling heavy trailers that you can't move around. I'm pretty sure you can do the same with some 1/2 inch flat bar, a press and a welder.

The two of you speak better english than 50% of the people in this country.

That's a neat idea, but I would caution that it only be done with a jack that's on a hard surface, or if on dirt, put a board under the jack when you unhook the trailer (I do this anyway), so it will have something to slide on when you hook up again.

Sliding a trailer jack that far over in soft ground could be asking to ruin your jack, twist the trailer tongue, etc.

Interesting device, and thanks for posting it. Personally I have always found two pieces of plate welded at an angle behind the truck's hitch to work the best. Its the same method used on many pintle hitch mounts for slightly larger trailers.

Similar to what I have. We use these quite often at work for pintle hitches.
I call this my "Anti-Tailgater". Saved me a couple of times from trucks rear ending me in the winter time.
This will also save the bumper from getting the dents seen on a lot of other trucks.
The Quickon one will work for simple applications but I see it bending over time due to lack of reinforcement on the sides.

Yeah, that might have to be a someday project.

People always look at the license plate of my old pickup and ask "Why is the paint gone in the middle of the license plate?"

Back up, feel the bump, pull forward 6", good to go (usually). I care a little more about the titan, so I get out and check, rather than hitting the trailer.

and this is why my plate is mounted on the right side of the bumper...lol
