Forced air kerosene heater

Just bought the 125,000 BTU heater from Menards on sale till end of today for 249.00 cheapest price I could find. Was heating with wood burner after 11 years it gave up the ghost. that and my 2 230 volt heaters should keep it toasty warm. Was just using the elec. heaters but they were costing a small fortune to run. THe shop is a 3 1/2 bay barn with a second floor now I can get back to workin on my projects again.

Torpedo heater/salamander type??? Be careful of the carbon monoxide. The produce alot of it, and after a couple of hours you will have a bad headache. DO NOT let this happen, you are literally starving your body for Oxygen by doing this. CO blocks absorption of O2 into your blood, thats why the headache. If you notice this, GET OUT and STAY OUT till you have fully recovered (overnight or several hours for the CO to leave your body).

Yes thanks but I am well aware of the pitfalls of these heaters have one in my garage also. Always make sure I have the proper ventillation so that this does not happen. But appreciate the heads up. most of the heating is done by the elec heaters this just helps them not run as often on for a little bit then I shut down the torpedo heater till it gets chilly then kick it on for a little bit again.

Just get a CO detecter and keep a door cracked and you'll be fine. Especially with the stop and go just to supplement your electric heaters.
