I don’t have an opinion of timing tool brands and I’m not even sure that bad ones exist. But I can heartily recommend freedomracing.com as a vendor for tools like this.
Most of my timing tools are Lisle. They really aren't that much more money than the off brand ones and I trust that the Lisle ones arent garbage. I don't put much faith in a $20 WiiTIMEYOUCAR or whatever brand you might see on Amazon.
Maybe they are all made in the same factory but at least it makes me feel a little better considering a timing job isn't something you want to have a doubts about.
