Site prep is done for the building site. I had them add a circle drive while they were here. The barn is slotted to be built in September. I had to spray the whole area with ground clear today because the grass was growing so well.
I starting thinking about the inside and have decided to make a 16x24 wood working room to keep dust off of everything else. I'll have a stairway up to on top of the woodshop and then a few more stairs to get to the attic trusses that will be above the first 32' of the heated shop.

Well the county rejected the drawings because of the attic, said it added to the total floor space and I only had a variance for the footprint of the building (48x88) I suggested not putting the flooring on the attic trusses and they agreed to let me have the permit. I paid the $900 permit fee, got my permit and we hope to pour the piers tomorrow. :rocker:

Got the the piers in on Wednesday, I was surprised to see that the piers are bigger at the bottom and they vary in size depending on load. They are all 48" deep and the holes that are 18" around with a 42" base use over half a yard of concrete. Just over 10 yards to do all the holes (32).

I also made a time lapse of the install, kinda of boring but wanted to try making a time lapse before they come and put up the barn in two weeks.

So, I was pretty excited about the barn being built and was on this forum all the time, but once the barn was built, I spent all my spare time in the barn.

Here are some process pics

I'll soon posts pics of the back 56' concreted, walls 2" spray foamed and some lighting I added.

I'm currently building a woodshop inside, still trying to decide if I want to go 24x16 or 24x20, I have 20' i-joists but, I'm not sure if I want to take up that much room from the rest of the barn.
