Not sure about Yale but Hyster and Clark stamp the numbers in the top of the frame on the RH side usually somewhere along the rear near the engine.
Call The Berns Company or M&M Forklift Salvage they may be able to help.

If all else fails, see if a standard dust cover will drive into the threaded area of the hub. If the unit has no data plate, and you plan to use it for business, watch out for OSHA. For private use, not a concern. Google Yale forklift on google images and search for a visually similar unit. I find a lot of items using this method.

I'm thinking Towmotor as well. I have a mid 70's Clark and the serial number is on the upper right side frame.

Older than I have books for here, only way I can tell so far is by the "Y" shaped rear overhead guard. Pull floorplate n look on frame for model or serial. That age will probably be a letter and 5 or 6 digits. May have to scrape some paint, usually been painted over a few times.

Looks like a Yale G-52/L-52 series, late 50's early 60's most likely. I didn't find much on them, but here's a manual on ebay, and a similar looking unit (sans overhead guard) that I found doing a google search.

https://bid.bidderone.com/m/lot-details/index/catalog/11692/lot/1536873

https://www.ebay.com/itm/YALE-G52-S...rksid=m570.l1313&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=41489

For the model numbers L52 is propane powered version, the second part of the model# is how much it can lift eg. 2024=2k, 3024=3k, 4024=4k (the 24 indicates the load's center of mass is 24" from the mast)

Here is a listing for an L52
https://www.bizclaz.com/category/41...ing-equipment/listings/916/Yale-Forklift.html

And a closed auction on an L52-3024
