I might have a opportunity to have a job as a forklift mechanic in the next few weeks, I have the tools for automotive mechanic is there anything more I would need working on forklifts?

Depends on the brand and type of forklift. Electric pallet jacks are a lot different than a truck in a lumber yard that can lift 30k. My most used tools are Allen wrenches and a Fluke meter. Big tools are handy, but if you're doing mostly industrial trucks 5-6,000 lb capacity or less you won't need a lot. Angle wrenches are a big time saver as well.

Toyota and I saw they have some bobcat there, how big do you mean for wrenches and sockets?

-16 AN takes a 1-1/2 wrench. I'd have a good selection up to that. The big sizes, just having them in double angle wrenches is usually good enough,; I'd rather have only a double angle 1-1/2 than a regular combo. A set of service wrenches can be a life saver on hydraulic fittings.

Angle wrenches, combination wrenches to at least 1 1/2" if working on 30k+ machines up to at least 2". A good 3/4" impact and sockets up to about 2". Crowsfeet, prybars and gauges.

you probably wont need a wrench bigger than 1 1/2" or 1 5/8" on a bobcat,
same size in sockets.
nut/bolts, and hyd hoses & tubelines are sae.
all bobcats engines are imported, so you'll see MM up to around 21mm or so.

A good set of standard auto mechanics tools will do most of what you need, you should have time to figure out what else you may want to add. I do 95% of my jobs out of a toolbag with 1/4 and 1/2" drive sockets and a few other basic things. The truck is full if everything else that I use, but not every day.

If you have the basics, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers you should be fine for most things. Adding angle wrenches and crows feet will make your life easier, but you probably won't need them every day. Same goes for big wrenches and a 3/4" drive socket set.

Toyotas are a mix of metric and SAE.

depending how dirty the the factory is where the forklift operates, a big box of dust masks and gloves. A long reach blow gun. A couple sets of alligator jumper wires.

Really just depends on where they were manufactured... All our forklifts have metric for the most part.

When you consider they are nothing more than a small car engine that usually is converted to run on LP and have a hydraulic pump, if you have tools for automotive then you are 95% of the way there. Probably make sure you have some various sized chain wrenches & spanners for when you have to pull apart cylinders to change seals.
