Has anyone tried a Form-a-funnel? I saw an advertisement for it in CarCraft, and it looks like it would come in handy when changing oil. On my F150, the oil in the filter spills onto the frame rail, and this would eliminate it, in theory anyway. The concept is good; now wondering about the actual product.

I have used them changing the oil on an airplane and they work. I never seem to get them formed as nice all the pictures show but they do the job and I can keep the oil off of everything else.

I bought one at Napa but have not had a chance to use it. I have played around with it and can see it will be used often. It is a great idea. I have 2 cars where the filter is buried and always get oil on the frame. I am 99.9% sure this will prevent this from happening.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Haven't used it yet but it looks like just the thing to take care of some oil change difficulties that I have on some of my vehicles. If it works, and I don't know why it wouldn't, it will be well worth the money.

So does it have memory? I can see where this would work great on my wife's Windstar, the oil pours down all over the K member.

Checked them out at our NAPA. It has a lead core so it doesn't really have a "memory". It does "carry over" some bends and twists. I would guess one could press this totally flat again with enough pressure. Handy gadget. Why can't I think up this stuff? :headscrat

Well, now you've come up with a perfect reason to buy that slip-roll machine you've been eyeing. Works perfect for flattening out your funnel.

It has a lead core??\
Surely the "protect-us-from-ourselves" folks would have something to say about that??

Looks neat but almost $30 for a funnel? I can buy alot of rags at Sams Club for that price.

Thanks for the idea of using foil. I've never thought of that. And another plus is that its disposable. No need to even wipe it off.
