Can you post a pic of it? What info are you looking for? I'm not super familiar with the Forney stuff. I've seen a C-3, 5 and 6, but never a 4. All the ones I have seen were red, basic arc welders. The amp/heat settings were changed via different plugs in the front of the unit. I think it would be really hard to break one. They are super simple transformer machines.

What do you want to know? It is a basic 180A AC arc welder, but with the added feature of current-limiting; it will only draw something like 56 amps from the AC line if there is a dead short between welding leads.
You can use it with a carbon arc torch as well, and even a soldering iron if you can find the Forney iron.
You will notice that there is a HI gnd and a LO gnd socket, and each tap socket has 2 numbers near it, one corresponds to HI and one to LO amps.
I have a 1958 Forney Welding manual that came with my C-5B, and it does not give a whole lot of info on the individual welders. Lots of info on how to weld, though.

Finally after a couple months, I got the Forney welder going, I wired the weird crowfoot receptacle with a #6/3c NMD90 (loomex) in the garage from the 125A subpanel. Added (2) 230v cooling fans inside the welder and had to replace the 100mfd 370vac continious duty capacitor located inside the case. The welder wouldn't strike an arc very well, if at all with the faulted cap, I tested the original cap (using my Klein 2000 DVM) and it would only charge to 18mfd. Now with the cap replaced it starts on the first strike. Just finished repairing my skidoo trailer. I order a 5LBS box of each 6011.6013.7014.7018 from Forney and tested alll four boxes.
Don't forget the 7018ac. It will weld with that just fine. I don't keep it around unless I need it, then I buy a fresh box to insure that it will strike and weld nicely. The longer it sits around after the box is opened, the more moisture it absorbs, and then it is harder than hell to get it to strike nicely.

What size of circuit breaker did you use for the welder? (have the identical welder, planning to wire it up over the next month)

According to the welder it's 32 amps input. I'd go with a 30 amp on either 10 or 8 gauge wire, because you won't likely max it out.
