I finally pulled the trigger on a replacement for my little Lincoln 140 110 volt welder. After a ton of surfing I chose the Forney 190MP. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UAL7LJM/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It is a inverter type machine that allows for either 110 or 220 input. The welder comes with both the standard mig torch and arc stick holder. It features the Euro style disconnect and is Tweco compatible. The unit is made in Italy and has a 5/3/1 warranty. You can use either 4" or 8" spools. It is spool gun compatible. The Tig setup is also optional.

I like the fact it has a manual setting and a feature called synergic electronics which is basically like Miller's auto set. It has full digital readouts and you set the heat and it automatically sets wire speed. It has adjustments for slope up time and burn back time. So far I love the machine, I have found no weak spots in it's performance so far. I bought it on a special one time deal from the Forney rep, they gave me special pricing I bought it way south of 700.00. In return I help sell the line in the farm store I work in. I am ordering both the spool gun and tig set up. I at first thought about being limited to 190 amps output but I also have a Lincoln Ranger 8 portable gas rig that allows me to go to 225 AC/DC/DC+ so no biggie. I think that anyone looking for a one welder does it all for a small shop or DIY would look hard to beat the value of this unit. I could have chosen from Hobart or Lincoln units as our location sells them also but the versitility of the one unit doing mig/tig/and stick was what made my decision. From my standpoint a very quality made machine thru and thru. Easy for a beginner to weld with the Synergic electronics. Hope this helps someone in there welder buying decision.
