Sorry gents, I feel like a goof, I've looked but I can't find the forum rules. Specifically, I work for a company that sells tools, but I am not a supporting vendor so I'm not sure when to sit on my hands, and when to pipe up. Thanks.

Obviously I am not a moderator, but I’ve been around for a while. I think that as long as you don’t hype something you are selling, you’re OK making suggestions. Other than that, the usual forum prohibitions about personal insults or posts in extremely poor taste or obscene.

Somebody please correct me if I’m wrong or incomplete.

I believe that if you start your recommendations with the above then you'll be fine. Just don't hide the fact and don't litter the forum with posts hawking your products. Put forth the strengths of your product and don't use the weakness of competitors to prop up your product. We all appreciate a lead on the tool hunts.

We don't want the drama that some of the flooring suppliers put the forum through a few years back.

IMO, a smart move would be to send a PM to @Ryan
