I'm new to the Forum and don't know how to use it. I posted a question about my 6" Hollands vise, and someone asked for a picture of it. I don't know how to post pictures and I have many of them that would be of interest to Forum members. Now I can't even find my original posting. Can someone teach me how to use this Forum????? Welcome to the Garage Journal, Bob. My name is Lynn and will help what I can. To find your original posts look under your user profile. Just click on your user ID and there you will see a panel with a Statistics tab. Click there, and then you will find posts you have made. Click and there you are.
Pictures. When you post, to a thread, you can either select the attachment icon, (little paper clip) or copy and paste a direct link from an image hosting site like PhotoBucket.

Please, please, please would someone tell me how to use this forum? Nothing is intuitive. I have been a member of other forums, and they are not at all like this one. I need to make posts and reply to other people, but I can't figure out how to do it. There must be a written procedure somewhere, if someone could direct me to it. I'm a retired Mechanical Engineer and a registered P.E. so I should be smart enough to learn it. I also have lots of pictures of the complete machine shop in my basement. Someone please help me!!!!!

Bob, if you go to the user CP (control panel) when you log in, you'll see a tab for pictures and albums, you can upload pics to there, and then link them to your replies on Garage Journal too, that's how I do it.
