Came across an old Fosdick 13" superspeed sensitive drill press and cant find a whole lot online about it. Add says variable speed. Does anyone have any information on them? Looks robust to say the least.

I’m honestly afraid to ask you for pictures of your fosdick

But somebody’s gonna ask so it might as well be me. And I’m damn sure not googling a fosdick....nope, not gonna do it.

Holy ****, now that’s a big’n. I’m not only impressed but slightly intimidated.

Lol, looks to be one hell of a machine. Is it in good working order?

Have run a much larger Fosdick radial DP and a jig borer made by them. Good machinery, a bit old at the time. Not sure if replacement parts (bearings) are available. Haven't seen a machine from them in more than a decade. If it's in good condition I'd consider buying it, they were well built machines back then.

It’s funny I saw this thread after buying this drill press. I also am looking for more information on it. This drill press is a beast! Very very heavy but was able to get it home. I’m in the process of cleaning it up and plan to repaint it.

That's funny! Glad it found a good home. I was on the fence but it would have been a 9 hour round trip for me to have gone and gotten it. A friend of mine with a lot of experience in machining and equipment said the wobble on the spindle is likely just warn bearings so hopefully replacing those will make it run like new. Have fun with it!
