found a cornwell truck

found a truck today. I bought the JRF36 long handle flex head ratchet. Quality is excellent, very heavy feel and its smoother than any other 36 tooth ratchet ive owned. I think ill stick with snap on and cornwell from now on, even though the nearest cornwell dealer is 75 miles away, so i wont be getting cornwell as often, only when im in the area and i need something. The only problem with the ratchet is the flex is very hard to move. Is this common on Cornwell ratchets, or do they loosen up with use? anyone own a flex cornwell?

it will loosen. but the bolts always seem to work them selfs out..*****

just like my snappy one does

The only problem with the ratchet is the flex is very hard to move. Is this common on Cornwell ratchets, or do they loosen up with use? anyone own a flex cornwell?

Is it the newer version with the detents and spring loaded ball? I have one of those ratchets and the flex moves very easy. The older versions just had a pin with no detents and would get a little too loose for some guy's liking.

yes it is the one with detents. Could it possibly be defected that its so hard to move?

Is every tool you buy flawed? You have no luck at all.

With a lifetime warranty use it for a bit and if it doesn't free up or is truly defective exchange it. I've got the same rat and it has loosened up nicely.

While I have never owned a Cornwell ratchet, all my MAC and Matco ball and dent flex ratchets started out really firm (tough to move with one hand) and have worn really nice.

I wouldn't worry about it and enjoy the new ratchet. I wish I could find a Cornwell truck.
