Okay... well ... I'll shoot him a note and BCC it to you ... I'm planning on heading up to the coast Thursday or Friday.
That rain we got Friday should bring up some Chanterelles, and I know exactly where to find them now. (ONP said 3 inches on the coast - it washed out a piece of the Upper Hoh Road again, apparently.)
On the down side, it will also have destroyed any remaining wild blackberries (Rubus vitifolius) - when I was up there last week all I could find was little shriveled-up stuff.

We both left about 4:00 this afternoon after I made a couple dump runs and we got his roll-away cabinet loaded into the back of a truck so he could move it out of the shop. It's about down to the bare walls.
He said he'd probably be down there about 10:00 am tomorrow morning (10/21) and he will most likely not be there later than 3:00 or 4:00.

Still in the building are a serviceable 1947 Union 76 steel service desk and a 6-foot long steel work table and some other stuff. Not sure what he wants for them. Bring cash.
I just called him on the phone to let him know I'd posted this and he said "Oh man, the bottom is rusted out." - so be aware of that.
It may be repairable - I have NO idea. 10/21/25 10:00 AM
