I, like many of us here, scour craiglist looking for deals. I figured we could all post the deals that we find but dont need in one condensed thread to try to help out other members.

I think something like this format will work

Region

Location

Item

Price

Link

Location Honey Brook, PA

Item 5" Vintage Redseal Vise

Price $65

Link http://lancaster.craigslist.org/tls/3124012919.html

I hope this catches on, as I am always finding cool stuff that I have to pass up on! Please don't turn this into self promotion either!

From the very first post in the tread.

:twak:Nothing bugs me more than having to READ about a deal SOMEONE ELSE scored on CL!

The exception to this is when one member finds something good and then another member scores it, then I feel warm and fuzzy

Seems like these get poo-poo'd a bit on the site, and it's still a bit high I think, but this could be worth the negotiation for somebody. I sort of like how the HF locker and side fit up on this.

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tls/4887125344.html

Mac tool box with locker and side box ,good condition everything works fine with all keys .Mac top and bottom are very heavy duty roller bearing drawers lifetime warranty on the box and slides .mb 7100 and mb7200 are the model numbers .$1500 top is 36x20x22 bottom is 36 x20x36 side is 17x18x33 locker is 17x18x55

Is that good pricing on these cabinets? I've been looking for some in the Dallas area but everything I've found is either way too far or too expensive. My brother lives just south of Austin so he might be able to take a look for me.

They could be if he can come down a little on price. If you can get the two matching short (blue) ones (33" h) for $250 each. I think thats a good deal, you would essentially get 12 drawers for $500, compared to the $800 he wants for 11-13 drawer tall ones.

Remember these are deeper cabinets than normal and pull out all the way, you can fit a lot of gear in one drawer compared to a snap-on or equiv.. There usually 27"-28" deep (front to back).

I would be quite happy with that deal. I would say $600 or less for the tall 11 drawer in good condition is a good price, not sure he would go for that. I noticed that prices in Texas can be higher than other areas.

Here's an example that just sold:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/100mi-FREE-Deliv-or-Pallet-Band-Stanley-Vidmar-11-Drawer-Tool-Cabinet-Storage-/331472752959?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d2d50d13f&nma=true&si=bR4EZWHzsZxnukkH3Dynq39aJHs%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

It's hard to find these at bargain prices, I very rarely ever see them being given away.

Here's a good example of what I have near me. These have been on craigslist for months and I don't believe he has sold any. The town listed (Trenton) is pretty far out in the middle of no where, and luckily I'm only 15 minutes away. I've thought about taking a look at them, but don't like the open space above the drawers.

^ ^ That's a nice set of C-Mans from while back that will make someone a nice set when cleaned up. Anything between $150 and $200 would be a score. Works out to around $10/drawer if you negotiate it down.

Hope a GJer or son of GJer can snag those.

Automotive Car Lifts (Shoreline) (2-Post)

And another set of 2-post lifts.

2 Eagle TP09A 9000 lb asymmetrical car racks. These were purchased new in 1998 and are very high quality US made racks. They both have low time and low load history. The racks available today (including Eagle), are Chinese made and not very good. I, for one, would not want to get under a Lincoln Navigator up on a Chinese made rack. These racks were $3000 each in 1998 and US made. Best offer accepted, and will deal if both purchased.
