Tool chest is fully functional and in average condition cosmetically. Grinder works by plugging in as rocker switch broken. Vise works fine. Asking $400 obo for all.

That is actually a nice vise 5" or 6" made in Sheffield, England by the Record Vise Co. and the Block grinder looks complete with all the bells & whistles and has the large motor which is hard to find.

Drill holes, a little reaming, some careful tapping.
It's a production drill press, and while it is quite large it really doesn't have that grand of a capacity ~1" in steel is all it is good for. Designed to have a large jig on the table in a production environment, drilling the same holes all day long.

I have an Allen drill press head ( mounted to someones not as cool as the original, homemade table and a swapped out wimpy motor). If that Avey is anything like it, yeah it just drills holes, but sooo nicely. Smooth and quietly with no flex or vibrations, its a luxury car of drill presses at over a hundred years old. The company still is in business and the old drill presses are still in use in factories.

Has tilting box table, and 4 speed gear motor drive along with geared speed changes inside the machine that gives it 16 speeds. Ram ways still have original scraping . Machine was originally in a school in N. J. I'm guessing it weighs about 2500#, I have a forklift to load. Based on my scores recently I would say he's off by two zero's but it's a really nice 6" wide jaw, approx. 140 lb Hollands 56H vise and it's got the very hard to find pipe jaws and it has the swivel, so maybe he's off just by one zero.

Definitely not 4 digits, maybe on the planet he's on but definitely not on ours.
