Here's a medical cart for $60 in Pacifica CA. These can make excellent toolboxes, as they're designed for everyday use in a professional environment.

This one is a bit of a flyer, something I *think* is a good deal. A vintage roller box in Sacramento CA (been a bit of a hotbed for these lately), it's $25, a bit dirty but it looks like an MBC box, which if so, is one of the suppliers of vintage SnapOn boxes. Decide for yourself if it's worth your time:

l'd think it's worth $25.00 Larry

80 gallon 2 stage Quincy compressor for only $350
What are they new...3 grand?

The catch is that the motor runs on 480 volts. Might be 3 phase too. :dunno:

Good deal especially if you have a big 220 motor laying around to swap in.

I just came here to post this, howdy neighbor! If anyone local wanted to buy one and part it out, I could use a pump and belt guard...

Back in Los Angeles, a decent (seller says 6 inch ) wilton for $20
Supposed to have a base but IIRC there are 2 holes in the main casting so 2 bolts will keep this big guy from sliding off your bench!

Shift,

I hate be the bearer of bad news but that vise is toast. Not to mention that it's missing the handle but the the dynamic jaw has broken and was brass welded back on.

Thanks for straightening that out macgee. :Homer: Doh! Thats what I get for just glancing at the pic and reading the description. At first I thought the line on the dynamic was a paint spill. Looking closer I see the bead of metal where there should be a sharp corner where the dynamic jaw joins the slide. It is certainly obvious that not only the handle is missing but what about the main screw?

Looks like a good candidate for making a pair of manly bookends!

Yeah, looks like one of those rare "Mohawk" models.
I too lack space. I already have a Craftsman 100 bench top DP so it would be hard to rationalize owning 2 drill presses when I barely have room for one. But then again I have 15 vises so where is the logic there? :dunno: :)

Great eye, beat me to posting it by 30 min. Someone needs to get this and post pics when they do.

regarding Snap On / Blue Point bench grinder for $40

That somebody would be me. Just got home with it. Runs so smoothly... like a turbine. :)

I will clean it up a bit, maybe paint maybe not, definately put on a new cord.
I believe these were made by Wissota for Snap On.
Can anybody confirm this?

And a new grinding wheel -- google 'grinding wheel failures' if you're not convinced. They get changed on any machine I have where I don't know what was ground on them before I got it.

Wissota makes nice grinders, btw.

Thanks for the reminder catalytic. I know about exploding wheels. Ring test and all of that. There are some very gruesome photos if you dig around for them. All of us should remember your important safety warning.

Before I handed over the money, I asked the seller to plug it in and turn it on. I was definately standing to one side.
