4 Snap-on wall cabinets $400 (I assume that's for all, as it doesn't say each.)

Damn.....
local and reasonable, I just don't have the money right now.
just another disappointment in my life.

Is that a decent brand? Don't know that brand.

He is also out past New Ken, not really even "Pittsburgh", couple hour drive for you, if that helps :)

since it appears that i am not the only one who checks for snap-on storage around Boston, i offer this:

https://nh.craigslist.org/tls/d/snap-on-tool-box/6434245517.html

a 4014/2007 set. a little worse for the wear, but looks to be completely serviceable. asking 700$ OBO. has been up for a few weeks.

there was a time i would have been interested in this set, but that ship sailed quite some time ago.

I wouldn't call this a _screaming_ deal, but I have one of these and while I'll catch hell for it, I much prefer them to a Craftsman block grinder. Simply in a different league, cast iron everything and as squat and solid as a 5'2 sumo wrestler. Almost certainly has rear exhausts.

At $450 I wouldn't say this is a great deal, but if you like the style, this setup is in great shape. Lots of smaller drawers.

Wrong link I think.

Heh, yeah. Sorry about that. Fixed above.

Link was left over from the manhole cover thread...

Yeah,Not a steal or anything, But It is a sweet setup.
be nice next to my metal lathe. Sort of a Machinist box on top, and general tooling and tools in the bottom.
I'd love to have it.

Workbench Vise - $15<small> (North Huntingdon) (Pittsburgh CL)</small>

Looks like a decent vise and decent size for only $15.00.
Somewhat local to me, But It's just not a good time for me to get anything else.
Anyone know what make it is. Don't think I've seen one quite like it.

Old Air Compressor - $100 (college park)

Hello,

We just purchased a new air compressor so I am looking to sell our old unit. The belt was starting to slip and I did not want to invest any money into this one

The United States Air Comp Co model MK 7611

I think its a 60 gallon or larger. It is heavy! 240V single stage i believe

tools, air compressor, grinding, impact, shop, yard, mechanic, maintenance, junk, scrap

Description makes me think there is probably more wrong then is being let on. Nobody buys a new air compressor because the belt is loose.

You never know. I once got a burr king that a company had quit using because it didn't track right -- the belt was way off to the right. Nobody had tried adjusting the tracking knob... They had replaced it with a plastic Rikon POS. One guy started to offer to sell me that, too, and someone ran out and said I couldn't have the plastic Rikon because 'it was the best' and they were keeping it.

I bought a rotary screw compressor they though was bad...10 years before, when they installed it in their shop, a pipe plug was used instead of a drain valve. Of course it cycled all the time!

I met a gentleman who was selling a really nice Italian band saw for dirt cheap, I mean silly give it away cheap on CL.

I inspected it, it looked in almost brand new condition, beautiful bearing guides, ran silently, barely any saw dust on it.

He warned me that it had bad problems and didn't cut well and he was totally turned off by it and needed the space for a new one he was going to buy.

He was really hoping I would just take it off his hands but then I noticed the blade was put on backwards. Flipped the blade and bingo miraculously the problems went away.

I just couldn't do it, told him what was wrong, left the bandsaw and he cancelled the order of his new bandsaw.

Look into using Greyhound bus shipping. If it's light, the price should be good and it's usually easy on the seller to drop off when you do all the arranging and pay for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I believe it weighs right around 70 lbs. I contacted the seller and he had someone coming to look at it, but was going to let me know if it didn't sell.

This looks interesting. This is for sale for $30 in Sacramento CA. A Taiwanese-made Sears vise (not Craftsman), judging from the box it looks to be at least 30 years old, I'd figure, and maybe from the 1970s even?

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/tls/d/sears-4-inch-vice-no-5182-new/6485361095.html

The seller has only had it a few years and seems to think it's newer than it really is. Admittedly this is no 8" Wilton bullet but $30 for a pretty nice looking vise isn't bad either.
