$1750 is asking price, should I go ****** it? I'll eventually want a top box and I feel like KRL tops are hard to come by.

Yes, that's cheap for a KRL if it's in good shape.

Finding a matching used top box is always tough but red is your best bet.

If I had the cash on hand and it was local, I'd be on it like a pack of dogs on a crippled cat...

Can you get the model number and dimensions? Hard to tell condition from the photo. It does not have spring casters, which means its not a 30" deep version. The double lock boxes are older, $1750 is high IMO, $1200 - $1400 would be better.

I do like this one better than the KRA  but the asking price is only $250 less than that KRL722 from yesterday

It's a KRL721. I would rather shallower. Rather have the floor space than box space.

That helps alot, it should be the same outside dimensions as the newer boxes. I found the craigs list add and the side picture helps to put it in perspective. Nice looking box! Get to negotiating it into your garage! :bounce:

Good luck!

Edit - Attached the second pic ----

Somebody's gonna grab that box if they haven't already.

$1700 for that size SO box is 1990s prices.

I believe Don is spot on. It is an older box. To me condition is everything. Test each drawer to full out. Make sure they glide easily. Check paint, pics can be decieving both to the good and bad. It measures 54 x 24. Should be a solid box and you will like it. Always make a lower offer, it is CL after all:lol_hitti

As far as pics go, I went to look at a double bay Macimizer top and bottom couple of nights ago. The pic made it look terrible and I was sure there was a dent in the top drawer. Get there, the box was extremely dusty, the dent didn't exist and and the price right. Left a deposit and will pick it up this weekend. Bought a SO compressor too and will get some tools also.
