This is one I'd never seen before from Cardinal Machine Co. in Glendale, CA. A bit of research shows they're still in business and still make a machinist's speed vise, but not sure if this bench vise is still in production.
It's their #140 -Speed-Vise-.
Back off the handle 1/4-turn, lift and pull the slide out as far as needed. Insert workpiece, push in, drop the handle and tighten 1/4-turn. Works slick.
Has insert jaws,
The surface rust will clean up easily and the patina will stay. For $50, I couldn't pass it up.
