For a long time I have been using cheap rolling stools from Harbor Freight or Pep Boys to do a lot of my detailing work. Well, my latest stool from Lowes finally broke it's welds and was fed up buying what was basically the same thing from different places.
So this started my search for a better solution. This led me to the Traxion ProGear Seat. I was very leery about spending more than $100.00 on a seat for my shop. However, given the amount of ours I spend sitting on a stool, I decided to go for it.
It has just arrived at the beginning of this week! Below are the pictures.
This 15lb+ stool came well packages and they use "pack in place" expanding foam to keep everything in place.
All of the parts laid out:
Massive 5" Poly/rubber wheels:
I found the square frame notch a nice touch so that when you tighten down the fastener on the caster, it doesn't spin (can get it nice and tight).
The framing hammer is to give you a send of the size of this stool.
Overall, I think this is worth the $122 (including shipping) that I paid for it. We shall see how it holds up over time. I'm not sure if I will keep the plastic tray on it or not. I'll have to use it more to figure that out.
