Found this compressor while on a drive.

I spotted this beast while driving home Thursday evening, we went back this afternoon for a look. Motor tag shows 25hp. Does anyone know the maker?

Wow that's cool. 32 amps @ 460V 3-phase and the compressor looks like a radial airplane engine. I dig it. No guess on the maker.

I don't know what brand it is either, but I'm a little surprised it doesn't have a cooler mounted on it. Nothing on any of those ID plates, or in the controls box?

I didn't stay long to get more information on it. The wife was tapping her foot.

it's a little tough to see but if you follow the grey line coming out of the tank there is a cooler. One thing for sure is that this thing is a beast. I'd love to have something like that. I'll be interested to find out who the manufacturer was.

That thing is a monster! I just passed on a 25hp IR model a couple of weeks ago, he only wanted $200 for it and it ran but leaked a little oil.

I don't have even close to the power you need to run a 460v 25hp 3 phase compressor on a 25hp phase converter. Man that's some kind of power consumption!

What are those letters on the side just before where it says Industrair. That would be the manufacturer, right??

That's definitely the largest compressor/motor combination I've ever seen on that size tank.

ALUP is still in business worldwide as a compressor company. Started making rotary compressors around about 1980, iirc.
