Found this cool gear!!

At a Swap Meet for $1 and thought it made a pretty cool plier/screwdriver holder.

It was pretty rusted when I found it, but it cleaned up nicely.

Just be careful with it. Looks like it could break real easily, especially in that application

I have no idea? I thought it was pretty cool too! The lady I bought it from asked what I was going to use it for. I told her a pen or tool holder and she said "ahhhh" with that look of I could have sold it for more if I had thought of that.

Looks like it might be a gear from an industrial gearbox. That thing was big bucks when it was new.

It may be the cylinder bank of a 9 piston hydraulic pump. It was driven by the helical cut gear.

I'll have to look for some part numbers. Besides being rusted when I got it, I believe that it was never used. The gears look perfect to me.
