Found this needle like tool in an old toolbox, all the needles nest in their own tubes and all the tubes nest together inside themselves.

Just guessing, needles to use with a grease gun? I have one grease needle that came in a case/fitting like that. Use to grease older ball joints that didn’t have aZerk fitting.

They aren't hollow, so not inflators or grease tips. Looks like some kind of layout tools to me. Or maybe awls.

Barracuda is spot on.

Definitely a Trocar set. Maybe the previous owner found a use for it in their garage?

You assemble the needle and tube, making a puncture in the subject. You then remove the needle, using the hollow tube to allow fluid/gas to escape or to introduce another tool like a camera or laparoscopic device. This prevents the need for a larger opening to be made. Once the work is done, you remove the metal tube and seal the opening.
