In my garage the 2 sides has concrete perimeter that sticks out about good 5" from the drywall and maybe 8" high This is creating a big issue because I wanted to get tall locker or base cab type cabinets, I really won't be able to install them without a huge gap behind. I had put some long things like levels, rulers, on the foundation sticking out that's the only good thing about it, to be honest looks messy.
I had thought about having one of those garage closet designer type companies to come build cabinets that hangs on the wall to eliminate this issue. They look neat. But gladiator is what I "partially" have and I see that they can be mounted on the wall as well (the tall locker 66x30x18"), with somewhat aweful amount of gear rail needed and another $30 adapter per locker. But it is what it is? I bet the gladiator might be about even with the custom order/built stuff and I take it with me when I move, and it is steel and not particle board stuff.
Has anyone precisely cut the wood and shim up so you'd have a platform even with the foundation? Then place whatever system you want?
