Hello all, I posted an intro and my reason for coming over to your forums. I have a couple of Chevys that you can see in my avatar. I have a new detached two car garage where they now reside. If my resolve weakens, and I find myself buying a third old toy, it would be ever so helpful for any info regarding the use, choice of brand, words of caution and any experience regarding a four post lift. I have just over ten feet to the ceiling. I would be putting one of my cars over the other. I may be looking to store three vehicles in the place of two. Thanks for any help you can send along.

welcome to the site There are plenty of previous threads on four post lifts

Are you shoppimg for value or best quality reagardless of price

Myself I just bought two DIRECT LIFT Pro Park 8 standards.

Picked up from a dealer in Portland,OR where he imports a full container load. I paid $2260 each in Portland (no sales tax) and brought them home on my trailer.

Bend Pak HD9 (or variations) would be an upgrade but BP doesnt include the caster wheels, jack tray and cheap azz plastic drip trays.....

We have a Bend Pak 4 poster, a quality affordable lift. A plus is that their customer service is second to none.

+1 For the Bendpak. I have an HD-9XW with RJ-45 rolling jack and together they make an awesome storage and work platform. Bendpak customer support, and Jeff in particular, are top rate.

That was my choice and exact model and rolling jack for the same reasons. The service over here in my part of Canada is also top rate. The Canadian distributor is Bruce at Babco and his staff are great!

Look at the dimensions listed on the various lift websites, and measure the heights of your cars to make sure you have enough headroom to actually stack them...a ten foot high ceiling may or may not be enough. Remember that the lift has to go up a few inches above whatever the top stop is, and then it drops down to lock in place, so that takes another four to six inches.
